Tracy Cortez is a well-known professional MMA fighter who currently competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championships.

Tracy was raised with her three brothers, Jose, J.R., and Abraham, and was born on December 10, 1993, in Phoenix, Arizona. Tracy is of Mexican descent. She began training in MMA at the age of 14 and credits her older brother Jose as the inspiration. As a result of heart issues and a subsequent diagnosis of germ cell cancer, Jose ended his career as a competitor. In 2011, he tragically passed away.

Tracy found strength in her brother’s memories to assist her through her own battles with depression, and she got a tattoo in his honor. Tracy’s encouraging statements regarding her brother serve as evidence of her resilience and inner strength: “Every time I feel tired or fatigued, I think like, damn, my brother fought with cancer in his heart and he didn’t give up. He fought through it. I’m perfectly healthy. I’m more than capable of doing what I’m doing. This is easy work. That’s a huge motivator for me.”

When Two UFC Fighters Find Love: The Story of Tracy Cortez and Brian Ortega

Brian Ortega, a featherweight fighter for the UFC, was dating Tracy Cortez. Ortega’s comment, “F*** it ima shoot my shot,” on one of Cortez’s Instagram postings marked the beginning of their romance. After that, they started getting to know one another, and their relationship grew quickly.

Cortez even assisted with Ortega’s preparation for his battle with Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 266, and she was visible in his corner throughout the match.

Tracy became a significant presence in Brian’s life, and they were often seen together. Their relationship took a turn when Ortega proposed to Cortez, and she accepted. The engagement was confirmed by Laura Sanko, who noticed Cortez’s engagement ring and reacted: “Girrrrlll!! That ring is..Tell me I’m not making stuff up?!” to which Cortez replied with “I said yes.”

Ortega got the name Tracy tattooed on his lips as a promise to her, and they also bought a house together. Cortez has been as a major source of inspiration for Ortega as he has risen through the MMA ranks, and Ortega has openly discussed Cortez’s contribution to his title match at UFC 266.

Moving On From the UFC’s Favorite Couple: The Breakup of Tracy and Brian

There have recently been reports going around that UFC fighters Brian Ortega and Tracy Cortez had split up. Fans began to speculate after Cortez allegedly deleted all of Ortega’s images from her Instagram account.

Many fans have shared their opinions about the alleged split, with some expressing concern about the possible effects of workplace relationships, saying: “This is why we don’t date in the workplace ladies and gentlemen”.

Another MMA fan wrote, “Bro. They were too perfect”.
Some of the fans had funny responses upon hearing the news. They commented, “Time to remove the lip tattoo Brian”.

According to our research, as of March 2023, Brian Ortega and Tracy Cortez don’t appear to have any images of one another on their Instagram accounts, and they apparently unfollowed each other on the platform.

Tracy Cortez Forced to Withdraw from Upcoming UFC Match Due to Injury

Tracy recently disclosed that she had an injury during practice that will keep her out of competing for a long period of time. Following a mystery incidence in December of last year, she was forced to withdraw from a fight against Amanda Ribas at UFC Orlando just minutes after weighing in.

Cortez had not given any specifics at the time, only claiming that the Florida State Athletic Commission had withdrawn her from the match. Cortez had declared, “I, myself did NOT pull out of my fight this past weekend. I was pulled by the (Florida) state commission & doctors. This is a private matter & will update you all when the time is right.”

She shared her disappointment in an Instagram story, stating, “A date on when I’ll be fighting again I don’t even know myself, I’m currently taking it day by day and it’s all I can do…I’m just trying to keep getting myself healthy again.”

Behind the Scenes of Brian Ortega’s Relationship with Ex-Wife Stephanie Roberts

Brian was previously married to his former girlfriend, Stephanie Roberts. Stephanie is from Torrance, California and has a kinesiology degree from El Camino College. She has an older brother, and a sister. Ortega and Roberts had two children during their long-term relationship.

Even though they are currently separated, Ortega keeps a close relationship with his sons. On his Twitter account, Brian tweeted: “Yes!! My Baby Boy Caleb Came In today. My first kid and it’s a boy !!” on October 20^th, 2012. His second son’s name is currently unknown.

On June 28^th, 2022 Brian tweeted: “Shout out to all the guys who pay child support & try to do right to still get f**ked over by their baby momma. I feel you keep on being strong for your kids fellas I’m there with y’all.” which leads us to believe that they are having some issues.

Brian Ortega’s Fighting Spirit: A Rising UFC Star

Brian Ortega, born on February 21^st 1991, is a Mexican-American professional mixed martial artist. He is currently competing in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He began learning martial arts at the age of 5. He was raised in San Pedro, California. 

Ortega has been a professional fighter since 2010, and he was the Featherweight Champion in the RFA. He is currently ranked #3 in the UFC featherweight rankings.
